Happy New Year to you all! The embargo is now over….for those who received them…..its time to release the Christmas Jumper!!
I got an email from NoSuchLuck. Sadly she is not in a better place than when she posted before. Feel free to beam positive thoughts towards her.

I have a surfeit of positive thoughts ( clinical supervision has absorbed my negative ones ). I am beaming away in determined fashion. My very best wishes, NoSuchLuck.
With the exception of Clozapine, none of the atypicals have met their promises – neither Risperidone or Olanzepine have made much impact on negative symptoms. Where I work we never prescribe Olanzepine to anyone who’s already overweight, and very quickly take them off it if they do start to put on weight. The Olanzepine reps I have spoken to have never hidden the fact that you can really pile it on with this drug. They are now finding since the atypicals have been around for a while, that they are causing all kinds of physical problems.

Sorry to hear that NoSuchLuck is still finding it so difficult. Her contribution was the site highlight of the 2006 for me. If you read this, my thoughts are with you.
