Was that you Rosey ?. Nice one. I`ve got lots to say on this one. However, I`m just going to check on the pigeons and have an early night.
What?? What’s that the theme tune to Malcolm, isn’t that News at 10 or something?
Just so you know we googled F.A.B in work once (it was a slow day) apparently it didnt stand for anything…..anyway, coming up next week…..
No OSB, My post is considerably longer and I spent quite a bit of time on it.
Is that not the tune from Thunderbirds?
Damn it, can’t think of the theme tune now, have Wagners’ “Ride of the Valkyries” stuck in my head.
Tis indeed Rosey…..Nel, you have to put a sort of march tempo under the Tuntums to make it sound right.
Can Gerry Robinson Fix The NHS?
In Slickness and Stealth
One year to save NHS, warns BMA chairman
Doctors have a leader ? Is this him ? Well I know what I’m going to do. I’m going to nick as much stationary as I can before the NHS snuffs it and kicks me out of a job.
Monday 5 Feb 00:50 on BBC ONE
I like the prime time billing.
I guess I’m suggesting Mental that only International Rescue will be able to! The question is will Thunderbird 4 – which we all know is a bit slower than the others, make it there in time.
I liked the drilly underground one.
These were really quite depressing documentaries but they, rather perversely, delighted me as they reinforced so much of what I “bang on” about. Management were little more than deskbound buffoons who had no idea of the realities beyond their office doors. Their obvious prefence was for paperwork shuffling and strategies. Doctors were insufferably arrogant and entirely incapable of seeing the bigger picture. They put me in mind of Einstein, who although a master of his own speciality struggled with the task of dressing himself in the morning. Nurses were the only people capable of recognising a problem and formulating a sensible solution.
I don`t know if anyone else noticed but I monitored the reaction on medical blogs. Most made no comment but, somewhat bizarrely, Dr. crippen came out in support of management. In fact, Brian James, uber – buffoon and Chief executive of the Rotherham Trust even commented on one of Crippen`s posts. I can only conclude that they united behind the principle that your enemy`s enemy is your friend.
The message is clear. Manager`s don`t have the solutions and neither do the medics. If the NHS is to be saved then nurses will have to lead the way. Let`s dispense with the piffle and focus on what needs to be done.
