I’ve hinted about this in previous posts. With the New Year comes a new job. As of this week your correspondent Zarathustra has left the world of adult psychiatry to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
Awaiting me is a caseload of ADHD, autism, eating disorders, mood disorders, conduct problems, phobias and…most challenging of all…the prospect of having to express a polite opinion about My Chemical Romance.
Further despatches will follow.

Interesting times! Hope it all works out. No scaring the wee ones with tales of Great Old Ones
Good luck – watch out for the ankle biters!

Good luck – sure it will be a blast
My Chemical Romance? Great band!
The scary thing is, when I think about the kind of neurotic, socially awkward kid I was when I was 15, the more I realise that if My Chemical Romance had been around then, I’d have absolutely *loved* them.
I’d have hated them. The Manics though…
Anyways, good luck in the new job. Working in (LD) CAMHS services is what I want to do in the future, but I don’t think it’s going to happen right now.
