Hello there,
I’ve just registered with mental nurse and thought I’d introduce myself. I’m a mental health nurse in UK although I left clinical practice just over 2 years ago and became a full time trainer. I travel nationwide delivering training on anything from intro to mental health to deliberate self harm, recovery from schizophrenia (my clinical specialty when in practice) and latterly the mental capacity act to name just a few.
I’ve been qualified since 1995 and can’t ever see myself leaving the mental health field.
Outisde of nursing I’m into philosophy, history, the theatre and beer. I’m also interested (although not especially knowledgeable) in the psychology of religious beliefs and how such beliefs affect thinking.
Did I mention I also like beer?
Oh yes - and pubs - because they sell beer.
Looking forward to getting to know you all.
Cheers,
Stuart Sorensen

Hi Stuart,
I have just finished an on line introduction to “Theory of Mind” course. Take a “look at my essay “Is Behaviourism scientifically respectable?” if you like, it were too ‘ard for this lot.

Hi and welcome Stuart!
Mmmm, beer.
I also find the psychology of religious belief fascinating, especially in how it relates to mental health and illness.
