Off on hols again

I’m back off on my one of regular breaks to the Happy Productive Worker Recreation Complex in Scarborough for the rest of the week. Olga, my Scarborough Tourist Board-approved tour guide, has promised to take me dissident-shooting, and also promises many happy evenings recycling plutonium for the glorious benefit of the Motherland. I’m told that the stewed beetroot is divine at this time of year, and as for the raw turnip…simply superb.

So, I’ll should be back on Monday. Behave yourselves in my absence, and if one of you feels keen to do This Week in Mentalists on Saturday, go ahead.

    E – banned ?

    Does anybody know anything ?

To my mind E has always been one of the most original thinkers, not to mention quickest wit on the block – what terrible crime has been committed ?

Hell, even Mr Ian is rather quiet lately.

    Is everybody OK ??

  • Everybody knows everything; But nobody’s talking… Mr Ian’s just realised along with the rest of OZ, that the Murray River is about to dry up, leaving half the country without drinking water and is busy trying to get a ticket home. Beakie is distressed at his students exam results and is trying to formulate an excuse to present to the VC. Z’s undergoing re-education at a nursing work-camp. New student mental nursey has just realised the course involves 3 times the work of a BM…

  • A&E Charge Nurse, no. Zarathustra’s off on the East Coast, frolicking? All that playing pool and drinking tea and snaffling biccies must be really tiring, and now he’s got time and money to go on holiday too?! Good grief. Nurses shy away from their cushy job to swan off on holidays at the drop of a hat nowadays. Nurses should have their pay halved then receive performance related pay, determined by how well they do what doctors tell them to.

I can see the complaints now……

Staff nurse X should be downgraded due to only buying hobnobs, when I really fancied Jammie dodgers.

Staff nurse Y never makes the tea, minus 50 points.

Staff nurse Z- pay rise (because she buys Jammie dodgers).

  • I have just returned from a couple of days away myself, my oh so generous bursary stretched to a few nights in a guest house on top of a big hill.

They did provide free biccies though…

    *sigh*

  • I am sick, and I mean sick, to the back teeth of this banning shite. Keep going, E. Towers, ivory or otherwise, are poor defensive positions. They don`t like the incoming as it will reduce them to rubble.

I have been away with a youth organistaion for a fortnight. I am useful to them, primarily, as my neolithic driving licence allows me to drive a mini bus and trailer, I can also mop and hoover with the best of them. Despite spending a rather tedious night in A and E, exposed to the drunken antics of the underclass, I fought shy of welfare issues. That didn`t stop me closely observing the efforts of others. I am pleased to report that the art of caring is still alive and well, to an impressive extent, in the degree less lay – person.

Rather fortuitously, I also encountered some young offenders who had been given to the army to play with. Remarkable how these youngsters responded to positive male role models, something to identify with, opportunities to expend excess energy, competition and achievement resulting in positive comment ( not sure whether stretcher races are evidence based ). Feedback must be good as a MP and some senior police officers turned up. I didn`t know who was who which was a shame as I`d have liked to have buttonholed the MP.

I also met someone who`d been to an American summer camp. The adults there are given responsibility for administering medication which, anecdotally, they do – by the bucketload. Don`t know much about Scientology or summer camp but perhaps Tom Cruise is right to be making a fuss.

  • Nobody has been banned OSB. Save your blubbing.

  • Beakie, if blubbing was an Olympic event you`d have increased our gold medal haul to 19 without even breaking sweat.

I was banned. Unfortunately for Z he didn`t have the technological capability to enforce it. I don`t see why he felt obliged to demonstrate that education does not nurture wisdom, you prove that with almost every utterance.

Whether you admit it or not E has been banned through moderation. In the usual, pompous, know – all, leftie manner dissent is oppressed. You people are that divorced from reality that you appear genuinely bewildered that right wing oafs aren`t actually grateful when they`ve been shown them the “error” of their ways.

Free speech remains of the utmost importance. Not one of you has had the common decency to address even one of the major points raised ( being an omnipotent leftie obviously absolves you of any responsibility to explain yourself )

What are we left with ?. Threads with maybe ten, three sentence, bland comments plus a tedious game of sycophantic, smiley face tennis between Z and The Shrink. No wonder E can`t be arsed

  • I’m absolutely pissed off with this crap. E was talking shit and I found his posts boring and/or irrelevant. You OSB should just get over it, it has now passed and some of us are trying to move on. Posts since have not been bland, they have been relating to Mental Health although not raised any need for arguments. If you want arguments, try somewhere else.
